What is Ancestral Healing and how can it help: Interview with Meredith Ruben Daniels

from You Lost Me at Namaste · host Michelle Schoenfeld

When I first heard about ancestral healing, images of Mulan came to mind, with the cute little dragon calling on the ancestors in the temple for assistance. Even as a healer and intuitive myself, it was something I knew very little about. I'm a firm believer in the law of attraction, and our soul purpose/path. I often call on my own guides, I've done a lot of deep healing, and as I have shared before, past life regressions to release stuck trauma. But never Generational Emotional Mapping (GEM) or Ancestral Healing. The past is the past right? It's all about our soul. Well, then I met Meredith. The Universe delivers us exactly what we need, when we need it so I'm so excited to share this episode. Please keep in mind, this is a an intro level interview, so if you want to know more, you can contact Meredith directly or as always, Google is your friend. So What is Ancestral Healing? Basically it is looking to your past family line to healing and release stuck energy from traumas. They can be as large as living through the holocaust, slavery, abuse, a miscarriage, or be smaller and more common like being momentarily lost as a child. The impact is still there and can be passed down in your DNA. These traumas that we are not aware of, because they did not happen to us, can still cause anxiety, depression, unusual phobias, or in my case even money blocks. As a wellness expert with over a decade in mainstream medical, I always love it when science backs up alternative health modalities. It's not a deal breaker of course because there is a lot that you just have to trust by the way it feels, but in this case Ancestral trauma can be proven to have an effect on your current life. One example that explains this the best, is a study done on mice. They put mice in a box with Cherry blossoms and then shook the box. They did this repetitively, which obviously caused trauma to the mice. Then they released them and let them propagate. What they found is that the children and grandchildren of the original mice exhibited extreme fear and avoidance to the smell of cherry blossoms. Not only that, but they had more smell receptors and brain space specifically designated to perceiving the smell. This is just one example, but its a good one and definitely made me wonder where some of my own blocks and fears were coming from so I had to book an appointment with Meredith. The process was much easier that I expected, and relaxing. Now, keep in mind I am a healer and have put in a lot of work over the years so I was open to the process, but in general I would say it is a great entrance into healing past wounds. It is not as intense as hypnotherapy or past life regressions because the trauma you are healing in not your own. Knowing that going in makes it a much more enjoyable process. If this sounds interesting to you, I would encourage you to give it a try. It is a wonderful gift to give yourself that also heals other family members of the same line and future generations. What a bonus!Take a listen and enjoy this 101 level interview. I may do a more in depth show on this in the fall so drop my a message if you would like to know more.
