Similarly, Uriah the husband of Bathsheba slept for days at the gate of the Kings palace, not taking the bait that David laid for him, out of righteous intentions. For both King David and the people of Sodom and Gomorrah, what did they see in Lot or Uriah? Some of the things lying at our Gate, may represent the voice of God appealing to us to come into His mercy and kindness.
