What Makes Or Breaks A Marriage

from Go Regulate Yourself · host Brianne Roberge

Marriage- it's a interesting thing. I always thought it was funny that people ask ‘how does it feel to be a Mrs.' after you get married- because what could a piece of paper possibly change? Well, as it turns out- a lot… and it might not always be good. Lately I've been paying attention to the other couples we know, and how we see other married people interact, and there are some big differences between them and us. My husband and I? Best friends. We're together constantly, want to do everything together, and are obsessed with each other. We've been together 13 years and it's as if we're still in the ‘honeymoon phase’- only it's not a phase and I honestly could not imagine it being any different. But… we've had to (and continue to) put in some serious effort in our relationship to make it as strong as it is. And truthfully? Not a lot of people are willing to put in the effort it requires to be happy and connected. It's easier to point a finger or walk away. So in today's very triggering episode- I'm calling out the exact things I believe make or break a marriage, and how my hubby and I structure our relationship to create trust, connection and love. This is the episode you're going to want to listen to if you're marriage isn't as healthy as you'd like it to be- or even if you're just open to different ways of doing things. So let's dive in, shall we?  AFFILIATE LINKS: Fly Kakao- The best cacao you've ever tasted in your life.
