What should one contemplate upon while meditating at the forehead centre or the third eye? | புருவ மைய்ய தவத்தின் மூலம் நம் எண்ணங்களை எவ்வாறு முறை படுத்திக்கொள்ளலாம்?

from Santhosam Podcast: Guiding Light of Spiritual Wisdom · host Santhosam

At the centre of the eyebrows, one can worship and realize the truth in three states — as a form/image/idol, formless form, and a formless (arūpa) awareness. According to each person’s spiritual maturity and receptivity, that Supreme Being/God — can be worshipped through the inner eye (third eye) as a form, as a mantra/light, or as a formless awareness beyond both form and sound. Thus, according to each person’s spiritual maturity, one may contemplate God, merge with God, or become one with God.By deeply contemplating and reflecting at the third eye (Puruva Madhya), one attains clarity in thought and realizes that God and the self are not truly separate.Gurumahan guides us how to contemplate on our shortcomings and transform our true self. ‘I deeply experience the essence of being the soul itself. In order to feel that sacred presence, I merge with it completely. With devotion centred at the point between the eyebrows, I offer my prayer—just as a child seeks nourishment from the mother, as one turns to the father for support, and a disciple receives wisdom from the guru, I surrender and seek divine grace from that sacred presence within.’‘To ask without restlessness or agitation—knowing clearly what is needed, I offer my prayer with stillness. In order to receive what I seek from the Divine within me, I prepare myself to become worthy of it. Everything is granted to the one who is truly deserving. Therefore, I am transforming my mind to become fit and worthy of receiving that grace. I will cleanse my mind of all unnecessary impressions such as desire, anger, greed, intense attachment, pride, and jealousy. With a purified mind, I will realize the Divine as it truly is.’Thus, at the eyebrow centre, we should reflect and recognise our faults—and offer a heartfelt prayer to the Divine dwelling there. By becoming aware of our own mistakes, we should seek to correct and transform ourselves.Send us Fan MailLet Wisdom Flourish!Let Peace Prevail!
