If women’s-rights activists are correct, the police remain deeply and irredeemably misogynist in culture and in practice.-The objection therefore will be to ask how do we change attitudes of the first responders to rape? -To ask if can the war against rape be won without the input, or collective responsibility of men, not only policemen, in the justice system, but in our homes and societies? -To also ask how then can mind-sets be changed, in a deeply patriarchal society?
