What works for me works for me
from Recovery is a process of decisions Podcast · host Trent Thomas
We welcome your inspiring comments. Send a textRecovery is a extremely personal decision. What works for me may or may not work for you. In recovery there are some commonality. In addiction the pain addicts feel is the same. The dependency of drugs and alcohol remains the same in its effects it has on the human body. The misery caused by making one wrong decision after another is felt exactly the same for every addict. The fact that it takes more and more drugs and alcohol to feel the desired effects is the same for all addicts. The shame and guilt experienced by making one bad decision after another is felt exactly the same by all addicts. What we have in common reads like a bed time story where we all know the tragic ending, before the story begins. We all experience the misalignment with life as well as the miserable degeneration as our life unravels one thread after another. What we all share is the need for a power greater than ourselves to save us and recognize there is no other answer to our miserable life saving recovery other than this power greater than ourselves. Listen as Trent proves what worked for him may or may not work for you.beat outro loopSupport the showRecovery is a process of decisions.
