WhatWomenWantSummit 3.0

from Beyond Comfort Zone · host Wanjiku

Welcome to Beyond Comfort Zone Episode 32! April is my birthday month! And this is a gift from me to me and you. In this episode we share some of the lessons picked from what women want summit 3 day event organised by Pinky Ghelani.A ton of International women gathered in this summit for workshops, connections, webinars and listening to amazing speakers that graced the venue at TradeMark Hotel. Some of the Speakers were Muthoni Drama Queen, Official Janet Mbugua,Millie Odhiambo Martha Karua Adelle Onyango Chika, June Gachui, Tracy Wanjiru, Suzie Wokabi, Celestine Gachuhi, Grace Murugi, Kalekye Mumo,Lushangela of SisterSpeaks among other powerful speakers. Its crazy how i got to a experience a lesson that caught my eye by Martha Karua which she spoke about staying Authentic , creating spaces and supporting each other. Beacuse if we are not supporting each other then who are we supporting really? In this episode, i dive deep in what support can mean to you, as a woman, and what it means to support each other as women.I reflect on the layered meaning of women supporting women beyond surface-level hashtags and empty gestures. Support is not just applause when things are good,it’s showing up when it’s uncomfortable, it’s respecting boundaries, holding space without enabling, and fighting for each other’s safety and dignity.Supporting other women also means allowing space for difference, honoring another’s ideas even when they don’t align with yours. And just as importantly, it's mirroring that same energy inward: being your own advocate, setting your own boundaries, and celebrating your own growth. This is a call-in to women-led organizations ,communities and initiatives that claim they support women but vitu kwa ground ni different. Walk your Talk. The disconnect between your words and actions is loud, and women feel it. The real work starts in how we show up for each other and ourselves, every day.Let our actions reflect our values. If we dont support each other who will ?Shared in this episode;-WhatWomenWhatSummit3.0 ExperienceDeclare Femicide as a Crime In Kenya Petition- https://www.change.org/p/declare-femicide-a-crime-in-kenyaFollow me on LinkedIn-https://www.linkedin.com/posts/florence-wanjiku-ba18881b0_whatwomenwantsummit3-womeninleadership-boldmoves-activity-7310300179784458242-lFZv?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_desktop&rcm=ACoAADFAZKkBfHC-Yz1LmYJPgiWdGQ5bpIbDffwFollowBeyondComfortZone On Spotify-https://open.spotify.com/episode/4pNgBYp83LLYAi33K5dCk2?si=7e91f79db70641f3Upcoming Link for Apple Podcast- Stay locked in for Updates.Connect with us on all our social media platforms for collaborationInstagram- https://www.instagram.com/wanjiku________/?hl=enLinkedIn -https://www.linkedin.com/in/florence-wanjiku-ba18881b0/TikTok-https://www.tiktok.com/@wanjiku________YouTube;-https://www.youtube.com/@Wanjiku__If you enjoyed this episode, make sure you drop a comment, follow and share with a friend.
