Earth Day 2026: World Record Store day, Rewards, and Reflections
Welcome to Season 3, Episode 20 of Beyond Comfort Zone. In this episode, I share a powerful Earth Day experience that coincided with my birthday month—a profound shift toward grounding. This year, Earth Day wasn’t just a date; it was a continuation of my journey, building on last year’s episode, ‘Earth Day is Every Day,’ where I talked about decluttering the seen and unseen. I also revisit Record Store Day, a celebration I shared last year, and this time, it aligned with Earth Day. From the tactile grooves of vinyl to the industrial soul of scrap metal art, I dive deep into how we preserve both culture and ourselves. I recount Record Store Day 2026, where the music of Mali and Njogu Kuria’s bold metal artistry reshaped my view on sustainability. In this episode, I discuss: The Roots (Les Racines): How Vieux Farka Touré’s album became the perfect backdrop for my self-care and gardening. Art from the Earth: Meeting Njogu Kuria, who transforms scrap metal into giants, and the gift he gave me—a reflection on the bull, the girl, and their energy. The Brass Ring Connection: Why my business, Brass Ring, is more relevant than ever as I unite fashion, metalwork, and expressive art. And Sustainable Soul: Moving beyond last year’s decluttering into a season of intentional planting—both in the soil and in my creative life. Join me as I honor these moments of growth, gratitude, and creative courage.

Just Be: Celebrating World Autism Month! Sn 3 Ep 18
Welcome to Episode 18 of Season3 Beyond comfort zone podcast! I didn’t even know it was World Autism Month… and somehow, I found myself learning in real time.In this episode, inspired by Love on the Spectrum on Netflix, I explore what autism means—both from a simple definition and a more personal, out-of-the-box perspective.Autism means the brain works differently in how a person thinks, feels, communicates, and experiences the world. A person who is autistic is someone whose brain processes the world in this unique way. It is a spectrum, meaning everyone experiences it differently. To me, it also feels like a different way of being—marked by sensitivity, depth, attention to detail, and authenticity. This is not a clinical explanation. It’s a reflection.Maybe the goal isn’t to label everything… maybe it’s to just be.Dictionary Meaning of AutismAutism Spectrum 'Disorder' is:A neurodevelopmental condition that affects how a person communicates, interacts socially, and experiences the world, often including differences in behavior, interests, and sensory processing. What “Spectrum” MeansA range of different experiences, abilities, and traits.👉 Meaning:No two autistic people are the sameIt can look very different from one person to anotherWe hope you enjoyed, feel free to reach out , Follow, collaborate and drop a comment below!Cheers and see you on the next one!

Recovering a sense of Integrity Sn3 Ep 17
Welcome to Beyond Comfort Zone Sn 3 Ep 17 and thank you for being. In this episode, I take you through a weekend that became a turning point. Inspired by Bridgerton, energy awareness, and choosing family over distraction, I explore what it means to recover integrity in a society that often steals it. This is a call to remember who we are, even when we’ve been forgotten.Words mentioned in the episode;- Integrity;- is living in alignment with your core values and staying true to yourself Aura Farming?- is really about how your natural emotional or personal energy is perceived and used. It’s not inherently good or bad—your aura just is. But when that attention or presence is exploited—like for engagement or profit—that’s when it crosses into aura farming as a more negative dynamici emphasize that aura is simply a natural field around us—it doesn’t have to be farmed. Integrity, energy, and self-awareness are the keys to staying true to who we are.Energy symphoning ;-. It's when people are unknowingly drained or pulled into someone else’s emotional or mental state—almost like a siphoning of focus or energy. It’s not about just sharing, but more like an imbalance where one person’s attention is pulled away from them by another’s emotional gravity.I hope you enjoyed this episode, make sure to follow, drop a comment and participate in our polls. Book Review;- The Artist way - Week 3 By Julia Cameron Sn 3 Ep16
Welcome to Beyond Comfort Zone Podcast Sn 3 Ep 16.In this episode, I review Week 3 of 'The Artist’s Way,' focusing on recovering a sense of power. I reflect on how emotions like shame and anger, when consciously accepted, become transformative tools. Shame, when simply acknowledged, reveals the core belief that holds us back; anger, when recognized without suppression, is a fire,we pause, ask, and let it guide us to set boundaries and take action. Building on my previous episode on reclaiming power, I show how, by noticing these emotions, we turn them into creative momentum. This episode is a call to stay with these feelings,no quick fixes, just the courage to recognize them and act. Thank you for listening, stay tuned as I continue this journey through the book. Follow, share with a friend, and leave your thoughts in our feedback doc, your reflections mean so much. See you in the next episode.

The Ritual Of Stillness Sn3 Episode 14
In this episode, I revisit the journey of rest and burnout, but this time, I’m bringing new reflections. As I stood in the rain today, I realized how deeply we reconnect with rest by turning to nature—like birdwatching or simply admiring flowers in bloom. I also realized that the breaks we take don’t always have to be digital. In fact, I invite you to revisit your creative spark—look back at old journals, those dreams you once held as a child, and the passions you used to express. I also acknowledge that this isn’t the first time I’ve talked about burnout—I’ve attached a previous episode where I first shared my own journey. https://open.spotify.com/episode/1fD3pdycfTq0Cj7twZrnWg?- Hustle Culture - But I want to stress that this is not a one-time fix; it’s a ritual. We have to practice these pauses, over and over, so we can stay grounded in our care. We’ve also attached a feedback link—https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfhucXYXuLHomAktnMgu2aqgz_zclNYD-cXZqleAXeR9hm45A/viewform?pli=1please share your thoughts. If you’d like to connect, collaborate, or support, you can reach us via [email protected] and [email protected] If this resonates, follow, hit the notification bell, and share with a friend who needs this reminder and drop a comment! We cant wait to hear from you! You're The Magic- December Recap 2025| Beyond Comfort Zone S3E11 pt(a)
In this episode of Beyond Comfort Zone (Season 3, Episode 11), we talk about the light within — and what happens when people try to dim it.Sometimes the dimming comes from others.Sometimes it comes from systems. And often, it comes from ourselves through people-pleasing.Most of the challenges I experienced in 2025 were not accidental. They were deeply connected to who I am. The resistance came from many directions, but instead of shrinking, I chose to keep moving, keep becoming, and keep being myself. This episode explores:Why people feel threatened by your lightHow people-pleasing dims your authentic selfThe strength that comes from choosing yourselfBreaking barriers around identity, truth, and self-expressionIf you’ve ever felt like you needed to be smaller to be accepted, this episode is for you.You are the light. I reflect on the idea that two wrongs can be right at the same time, depending on where you’re standing.I dive into my relationship with sport and movement—how I was sporty at a younger age, how my body later seemed to forget, and how I’m now re-learning fundamental skills like walking and running, before expanding into padel tennis and skateboarding.Through these experiences, I unpack lessons around balance and flexibility, both physically and in life. I also share reflections inspired by The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron and Deliver Us From Normal by Klise, touching on creativity, presence, and permission to evolve. This episode is an invitation to celebrate where you are, honor the present moment, and allow yourself to learn—again and again.Keep Rememebering,Keep learning cheers and see you on the next one!

Redefinining Men' Mental Health- November 2025 Recap
Welcome to Beyond Comfort one, Season In this episode of Beyond Comfort Zone, I sit down with myself to reflect on November, on Q4, and on the year as a whole — through the lens of men’s mental health. I explore the realities that men rarely speak about: the pressure to stay strong, the quiet battles with identity, loneliness, emotions, and expectations. As I recap my own months, I honour the men who hold so much in silence, those who are healing in private, and those who have been showing up for themselves even when it’s hard. This episode is a soft reminder that mental health isn’t gendered — it’s human — and men also deserve safety, gentleness, emotional room, and support. This conversation bridges reflection, compassion, and awareness, inviting all of us to understand men more deeply while also recognising how far we have come in our own journeys this year.Follow us, share widely and remember to drop a comment! Stillness, Movement and the Art of Recovery
Welcome to Beyond Comfort Zone Season 3 Episode 8. In this episode we explore what recovery really means — not just after pain or hardship, but also after joy, achievement, and moments that stretch us in beautiful ways. Recovery is the quiet return to yourself, the moment your body, mind, and spirit settle back into balance.I share my own marathon recovery journey, from the deep sleep my body demanded, to grounding myself through meditation, breathing, and my spiritual threading practice. And recovery isn’t only stillness , it’s also gentle movement, the kind that keeps you connected to yourself and reminds you that you’re still evolving.I speak about emotional recovery too: validating yourself from within even though external affirmation is a natural human need, supporting yourself with softness, and celebrating the people around you who show up for themselves. Because recovery is personal, but it’s also communal — we heal in connection, in presence, and in the energy of others rising. This episode is a soft reminder that recovery is not weakness; it’s awareness, honesty, and a sacred pause that allows you to grow forward. Tune in, breathe, and walk with me.Remember to follow, share with a friend or stranger and put your notification bell on so you can get notified everytimee we drop an episode.Happy New Month!Cheers and See you on the next one.

Unclench your Jaw ,Unclench your butt- Breath
Welcome to beyond comfort zone Season 2 episode 42. In this episode, I explore how something as subtle as my posture revealed everything I needed to know about where I was mentally, emotionally and spiritually.I speak about the deep connection between ease, creativity, and the body , how a clenched jaw and butt or tight shoulders can be signs that we've left the present moment.Through gentle reflection, I share how adjusting my posture became more than just a physical shift , it became a spiritual realignment. A soft remembering that I am safe. This is your reminder that posture holds power. That how we sit, stand, and move can be part of the sacred. That the body often speaks before the heart even has words.Let’s talk about unclenching, breathing, and allowing ourselves to create from a place of trust and tenderness.Follow beyond Comfort Zone Podcast and Share widely;- https://open.spotify.com/show/4mfVQPjWMra2ioFlB7wWFF?si=66e984b0b3d94182Follow us on IG-https://www.instagram.com/wanjiku________/?hl=enBeyond Comfort Zone Podcast on Ig;-https://www.instagram.com/_beyondcomfortzonepod/LinkedIn;-https://www.linkedin.com/in/florence-wanjiku-ba18881b0/Dont forget to follow, share widely and leave a comment . Two things can exist at the same time- Trigger Warning
Welcome to Episode 38 of Season 2 At Beyond Comfort Zone. This episode holds strong themes. Please listen with an open heart, a curious mind, and room for discomfort. It’s not here to provoke — it’s here to reveal. We explore the tension of witnessing harm and help appear in the same breath. When systems or individuals offer comfort after causing pain, it creates a confusing space — one that many of us are familiar with but rarely talk about out loud. This is a reflection on how gestures of care can be used to protect power, avoid accountability, and pacify resistance. We’ve been raised to believe that help is always good — even when it comes with conditions, silence, or distraction. But what if the comfort being offered isn’t rooted in truth? We touch on real emotional dynamics that often go unnamed:Love bombing – when someone overwhelms you with affection to gain control or shift your attentionNarcissism – a pattern of self-centered behavior often disguised as charm, care, or leadershipGaslighting – when your reality is dismissed or distorted, making you doubt your own experienceInstant gratification – the quick fix that avoids long-term repair or justiceSilence as erasure – how power, especially historically, has used silence to suppress memory and truthThis episode doesn't only speak to politics — it speaks to what we were taught in our homes, in our cultures, in relationships, and in survival. Two things can exist together. But we must ask — do both serve us? Or is one just harder to name?Listen when you're ready. This is for the ones seeking language for what they’ve lived through and those brave enough to question what they were taught to accept. We keep Learning Unlearning and Relearning. Justice will always prevail.Shared in this episode;-The True Crime Story shared here;-https://open.spotify.com/episode/68GWwWKmx3HxOHY68V5iQS?si=38e2b5be6cc74df6If you enjoyed this episode, make sure to leave a comment, follow and share widely.Cheers and See you on the next one !

Alchemy-Tranforming Thoughts Into Reality
Welcome to Beyond Comfort Zone Podcast Episode 37 Season 2. In this episode, we journey through the sacred intersection of alchemy and neuroscience — exploring how ancient transformation meets modern brain science.Alchemy is the ancient practice of turning raw material into gold — but symbolically, it’s the inner process of turning pain into wisdom, fear into courage, and thoughts into power.Neuroscience shows us that the brain can change — thanks to neuroplasticity, we’re not stuck with old thoughts. We can rewire them. We can evolve. And then comes the elixir — not a drink or potion, but the essence we create through awareness. The elixir of modern life is choosing again. Choosing better. Choosing softness, stillness, power.Inspired by Brasscode our Brass Rings Brand — a philosophy that says even what’s raw (like brass) can become beautiful, wearable power — this episode invites you to see every thought as metal, and every choice as alchemy. Each brass ring is a reminder: you are becoming. You are worthy. You are golden. Grace with Accountability
Welcome to Beyond Comfort Zone Episode 36 Season 2!You don’t have to arrive fast.A simple phrase — but what if that’s the deeper goal in life too? You just have to arrive safe — whole, present, and honest with yourself.A simple phrase — but what if that’s the deeper goal in life too?In this episode, I explore what it means to slow down with purpose — not as a way to avoid responsibility, but as a way to move with clarity. It’s a reflection on balancing rest and discipline, acknowledging what you’ve achieved, and still having the courage to pursue what truly matters.I talk about the discomfort of a popular quote: “You’re doing your best, and that’s embarrassing.” That mindset? It misses the point. Embarrassment is a mentality — one that can keep us stuck. What we need instead is grace with accountability. You’re allowed to rest, and you’re also capable of doing better — with love. This episode also carries a personal moment — a spontaneous book recommendation from my nail tech that reminded me why I love divine timing. Yes, this episode came out later than planned. But life needed me to restructure, to refocus. And that matters too. What did this episode stir in you?Feel free to respond right here on Spotify or tag me on socials. This is your reminder that you don’t have to rush — just keep showing up, gently and honestly. Listening to Yourself
Welcome to episode 35 Season 2 of Beyond Comfort Zone Podcast.✨ Do something different today.Pause.Breathe.Listen — really listen — to yourself. What does it truly mean to listen to yourself? In a world that rarely slows down, listening to yourself means creating intentional space to hear your inner truth — beyond the noise, the notifications, the pressure to perform. It's about checking in with your emotions, your energy, your desires. It's asking: “Is this mine, or was this handed to me?”In this episode, I reflect on how even time can become a distraction — always pushing us forward, urging us to chase what’s next. We exist in systems already scripted for us. And if we don’t pause to plant our own intentions, we end up living on autopilot, disconnected from our own rhythm.I also speak to the guilt of rest, the discomfort that can come with slowing down, and the unexpected noise — like the neighbor’s cat or yesterday’s conversations — that clutters our mental space. But deeper still, we explore what it means to embrace the slowness of life, to let go and let God, and to accept that not everything that’s ending is bad — some things have simply served their purpose. It’s so easy to get caught up in what’s around you and forget what your journey really is. So take a moment. Do something different today. Trust the stillness. Honor the release. Listen to yourself. This episode is your invitation to come back home to your truth, move in alignment, and trust that your inner voice is sacred — even in the quiet.Follow beyond Comfort Zone Podcast and Share widely;- https://open.spotify.com/show/4mfVQPjWMra2ioFlB7wWFF?si=66e984b0b3d94182Follow us on IG-https://www.instagram.com/wanjiku________/?hl=enBeyond Comfort Zone Podcast on Ig;-https://www.instagram.com/_beyondcomfortzonepod/LinkedIn;-https://www.linkedin.com/in/florence-wanjiku-ba18881b0/Dont forget to follow, share widely and leave a comment . Decluttering the Seen and Unseen
Welcome to Episode 34, Season 2 of Beyond Comfort Zone. It's the 1st of May, and I’m sitting with all that April brought me—deep moments of shedding, soft realizations, and those quiet nudges to let go. This episode is a reflection on decluttering—not just your space or your wardrobe (yes, even your fits and emails), but your inner world too.💭 Sometimes we think we’re done with people pleasing, until it slips in—quiet, unannounced—because in that moment, you didn’t choose yourself.✨ I ask:– How do you react when something good happens?– What about when a lesson catches you off guard?Your reactions are teachers. They show you where you're still holding on, where you're shrinking, and what you're ready to release. This episode invites you to:Stop waiting to live fullyReflect on your recent sheddingNotice the subtle forms of people pleasingChoose yourself more oftenDeclutter your life—physically, emotionally, digitallyAlign with the version of you that's trying to emergeAnd above all, Let go and let God guide the processThis is your permission to release and realign. You don’t have to carry it all. 🌱Share on this episode;-Earth Day is a special day—celebrated every year on April 22—when people all over the world come together to celebrate the planet and take action to protect the environment.A Swap Circle or Swap Meet is typically a community-driven event where people come together to exchange items instead of buying or selling them—clothes, books, accessories, or even home goods. The idea is rooted in sustainability, creativity, and community connection.Decluttering is the intentional act of letting go of things—physical, mental, emotional, or even digital—that no longer serve you. It's not just cleaning your closet. Earth Day is Every Day
Welcome to episode 34 Season 2 of Beyond Comfort Zone ! In this episode we refelect on what Earth day means. April 22nd was more than just a beautiful day—it was Earth Day, a global reminder to protect and celebrate the only home we all share. This year’s theme, "Planet vs. Plastics," called on all of us to reduce plastic use and commit to restoring Earth’s natural balance. In this episode, I reflect on the energy of the day, the dope humans I interacted with, and the aligned conversations around recycling, upcycling, and living more consciously. From street-side creativity to community-based solutions, it was a celebration of beauty in both people and the planet.🌿 What can you do to live the Earth Day theme all year?— Start with small, consistent shifts:✅ Carry a reusable water bottle✅ Repair instead of discard✅ Support local, sustainable brands✅ Host or join a cleanup in your area✅ Practice mindful consumption✅ Turn trash into treasure through upcyclingLet’s keep aligning our lives with the planet’s rhythms—because Earth care is self-care.

WhatWomenWantSummit 3.0
Welcome to Beyond Comfort Zone Episode 32! April is my birthday month! And this is a gift from me to me and you. In this episode we share some of the lessons picked from what women want summit 3 day event organised by Pinky Ghelani.A ton of International women gathered in this summit for workshops, connections, webinars and listening to amazing speakers that graced the venue at TradeMark Hotel. Some of the Speakers were Muthoni Drama Queen, Official Janet Mbugua,Millie Odhiambo Martha Karua Adelle Onyango Chika, June Gachui, Tracy Wanjiru, Suzie Wokabi, Celestine Gachuhi, Grace Murugi, Kalekye Mumo,Lushangela of SisterSpeaks among other powerful speakers. Its crazy how i got to a experience a lesson that caught my eye by Martha Karua which she spoke about staying Authentic , creating spaces and supporting each other. Beacuse if we are not supporting each other then who are we supporting really? In this episode, i dive deep in what support can mean to you, as a woman, and what it means to support each other as women.I reflect on the layered meaning of women supporting women beyond surface-level hashtags and empty gestures. Support is not just applause when things are good,it’s showing up when it’s uncomfortable, it’s respecting boundaries, holding space without enabling, and fighting for each other’s safety and dignity.Supporting other women also means allowing space for difference, honoring another’s ideas even when they don’t align with yours. And just as importantly, it's mirroring that same energy inward: being your own advocate, setting your own boundaries, and celebrating your own growth. This is a call-in to women-led organizations ,communities and initiatives that claim they support women but vitu kwa ground ni different. Walk your Talk. The disconnect between your words and actions is loud, and women feel it. The real work starts in how we show up for each other and ourselves, every day.Let our actions reflect our values. Excuse Me, Where did Respect Go ?
In this unapologetically honest episode, I dive deep into communication, boundaries, and self-respect. We’re unpacking what it really means to call people out — not from a place of disgust, but from a place of growth and truth.I’m speaking on:– Setting clear, head-on boundaries on social media, at work, and in everyday spaces.– The illusion of professionalism when it's masking disrespect.– Why no one is exceptional when it comes to respecting time, space, and energy — not even your boss.– The subtle difference between critique for evolution and just plain rudeness.– And that moment when you realize: they actually never gave a shit about your opinion. This is for the ones tired of shrinking to accommodate others. The ones choosing authenticity over performative politeness. This is me, and maybe it's you too.Shared in this episode;- Doechii Music on Speaking up -https://youtu.be/8qnOpJfFfpU?feature=sharedSpeak Up ! Not Everything That Lands Deserves a Seat
Hello and welcome to Episode 29 Season 2! In this episode we celebrate our Q1 2025 Wins and Recognizing some of the challenges we encountered and lessons we learnt along the way.In this episode, I explore the emotional landscape of anxiety, frustration, and disappointment—three familiar but often misunderstood feelings that many of us quietly wrestle with.We begin with anxiety—that overwhelming swirl of thoughts and sensations rooted in uncertainty and fear. It's more than worry; it's the feeling of being pulled out of the present and into imagined outcomes. I share a resource that has helped me hold anxiety with more curiosity than fear.Next, we journey into frustration—a charged, sometimes explosive emotion that can arise when our expectations clash with reality. I speak candidly about how I’ve learned to acknowledge the feeling first—before it mutates into resentment or is misdirected at others.I also touch on the reality of trauma dumping—how unprocessed pain can leak out as frustration and hurt those around us. Healing requires intention. Without putting in the inner work, we risk repeating cycles and placing emotional weight on people who did not cause our wounds. This part of the episode is a reminder that emotional accountability is part of care. Then we meet disappointment—a quieter, heavy sadness that comes when hope isn't met with fulfillment. It doesn’t always scream, but it lingers. I reflect on how disappointment teaches us about our desires, and how to manage expectations while still keeping our hearts open.Throughout the episode, I emphasize that emotions are not who we are—they are what we experience. They are messengers. They signal what needs attention, what’s been avoided, and where we’re invited to grow. But they are not the whole truth of who we are. This space is a soft place to explore these complex emotions without shame. To feel them, learn from them, and choose healthier ways to respond. Because healing is not just about feeling better—it's about becoming better for ourselves and the people we love.Shared in this episode;-Breathwork and AffirmationsMusic by Doechii- Anxiety- https://youtu.be/egemoVK0IKY?feature=sharedThe Rythm in Efficiency Episode 23 Season 2 ;-https://open.spotify.com/episode/1OXTUDdwx28rhYfKVNuAU8?si=d6c480577d8d4ec7The Pole pole Vibe Tanzania Experience;-https://open.spotify.com/episode/2qXuCjKBv3gxVCHNLcioNr?si=98c9813b79bd4d26Make sure to follow us , Leave a comment and share widely.
