According to the Bible we are NOT inherently good, quite the opposite. Look at the following passages: “For the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth” (Gen 6:5) “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” (Jer 17:9) “For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing” (Rom 7:18).
