When Is It Ever Going to End?

Then I check how many days until the primaries. Then I go to the bathroom and throw up.I try to walk the dog. I try to talk to neighbors and friends. I do anything I can to distract myself from the encroaching Hell of this dystopian reality.Sooner or later, you are confronted with a screen. All screens are demon faces. They scream lies at you. They misrepresent everything that's going on.Even the weatherman terrifies me. Every day it's a new record high for the whole world. The seas are boiling. Fishermen return without a catch because everything is dead.A dithering madman is at the controls. That's what we got because nobody allows anyone who advocates for education, healthcare, reason, or accountability to ever ascend.Americans laugh at such things, “Ha!”“Rules are for LOSERS!”“If I do something and it hurts somebody else, it's that person's fault. I'm a superior human being. I deserve the world. Get to work or get out of my way!”We're launching bombs. Little babies are murdered by the shrapnel. People who call themselves “pro life” cheer almost as loud as when women die because of their policies.The demon screen never pushes back at them. It never exposes their hypocrisy. It never sends any cameras to hospitals or hospital parking lots where women are bleeding out.The demon screen only shows pictures that support its narrative of deceit.We see a parade of immaculately groomed men and women who smirk at us like we're something they're about to eat.The president falls asleep halfway through his statements. He asks his handlers what the papers mean. You could pass him a menu for a restaurant and he'd sign it. He'd hold it up with a grin for everyone to see.The nepo baby who grew into a con boy.Why didn't they ever call him “nepo baby?”Why was that “off limits?” Who is responsible for this “gentleman's agreement?”No nepo baby. No pedophile. No convicted felon. No liar, liar, liar.No truth, no accountability, no justice, no peace, no civilization.When is this ever going to end? I thought I was tired yesterday. Today, I would give everything to go back again.They crush us with taxes. They spend the money on billionaires, bombs, and brutes. Masked men who won't identify themselves are allowed to come into our homes, churches, hospitals, and schools.They beat us and smirk at us and give us that same look. We're bite sized morsels to them. They're always hungry. They're gobbling up the world.You can fry an egg on the sidewalk.The carcasses of a million billion fish just washed up on the shore. The ocean is a vat of acid. The chortling mad man called it a hoax. The people on the demon screen believe.Do you believe?Then I get an email notification. A politician wants me to send him $20. He grew up with a silver spoon. He went to a private school. He went to an Ivy League college. He's been able to make stock trades with insider information for the last few decades.But all that's not enough. He also needs $20 from me.“If you run against a convicted felon,” I ask. “Will you DEMAND a recount to verify the authenticity?”“How dare you even ask? Our side is not the party of election denial,” he lectures while looking down at me.Just kidding, he doesn't say anything.My voice means nothing to him. He doesn't wait to hear what I have to say before telling me I'm wrong.But the arguments make their way to the demon screens. They denounce us in advance. “If we lose, it will be your fault, you, yours! Because we are perfect, we are always right, our plan is the best plan in the history of plans. But if you're too dumb to see why our way is better, then you'll deserve what you get.”So they lose and they blame us and the cycle begins again and again and again.The bombs fall.The demon screen lies.The oceans boil.The fish die.The people die. The kids die. We all die.Sigh.And yet, somehow, it doesn't seem to EVER END! How can this go on forever? How?They promised us judgment day. They promised us a moment of accountability. They warned us. They said we'll all have to stand and answer for our actions in the end.But there is no end.It's just eternal torment.Bombs and lies and dead fish and dead kids.The demon screen laughs at us.But what they don't know is the joke is on them.So, let's start laughing now. Let's drown them out. Let's throw the demon screens into the ocean to boil those perfect hairlines into toxic sludge.Sun bleached skeletons washing up on the shore. The Grim Reaper looks as if he's laughing too, but he doesn't regard you like you're edible because he hasn't got any eyes.I'll laugh with him long and hard when he comes, because that will mean all this suffering is over. It's the dawning of a new age, an age that's not quite so obsessed with spreading a plague of misery.Hallelujah!I do not fear standing and answering for my actions.
