In this episode, I had the pleasure of speaking with Dr. Dee Poe about her organization, GlassSoldiers.org, and the remarkable work she is doing to eliminate military sexual trauma. Dr. Dee's organization is dedicated to eliminating sexual assault in the military, and she is committed to being both duty-bound and data-driven in her efforts. During our conversation, she bravely shared her own experiences with sexual violence and domestic abuse, and spoke candidly about the reasons she is so passionate about helping other service moms, wives, and aunts deal with these issues within the ranks of the military. It's crucial for all of us to understand the prevalence of sexual and domestic violence, not only on the home front, but also within our armed forces. Dr. Dee's work is critical in combatting the culture of pervasive sexual violence, sexual harassment, and retribution against victims that has unfortunately been allowed to persist within the military.
