When you fail, Jesus prays for you

"I have prayed for you." Lk 22:32 NKJV"Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked foryou, that he may sift you as wheat. But I haveprayed for you, that your faith should not fail;and when you have returned to Me,strengthen your brethren" (VV. 31-32 NKJV).Are you involved in things you never thoughtyourself capable of doing? You never thoughtyou would have an affair. You never thoughtyou would cheat, steal, and lie to get aheadYou never thought you would become jealousand resentful of someone else's success. Younever thought you would neglect or mistreatyour family. You never thought you would gethooked on pornography. You never thoughtyou would become addicted to drugs andalcohol. You're not alone! Peter swore that hewould never deny Jesus, but he did. And notjust once but repeatedly. Did Peter love theLord? Absolutely. But because he was weak,he turned his back on Him. What a load ofguilt to carry. No wonder he "went out andwept bitterly" (v. 62 NKJV). But Jesus knew inadvance it would happen and told Peter thatHe would be praying for him. Here is anamazing thought: When you sin, JesusHe would be praying for him. Here is anamazing thought: When you sin, Jesusprays for you! "Therefore He is also able tosave to the uttermost those who come to Godthrough Him, since He always lives to makeintercession for them" (Heb 7:25 NKJV).Picture this: You're struggling with a sinfulhabit, while at the same time, Jesus presentsHis cleansing blood to the Father andpetitions Him for help and mercy on yourbehalf. Will Jesus' prayers on your behalf beanswered? Of course.
