Pastor Darrell continues in Matthew 6. Today we are focused on Matthew 6:16-18 where Jesus speaks to His disciples about fasting. Jesus has freed us from the inclination to pretend to be something we are not by clothing us with His righteousness. The spiritual practice of fasting is a blessing to us in that it gets us alone with God and leads us toward prayer. It reminds us of our weakness and needfulness, and the Lord’s provision and strength. Be encouraged in looking to Jesus for all your spiritual and physical needs.
