When Your World is Falling Apart - 210103

Sometimes we find ourselves in very difficult circumstances. We wonder ‘why is this difficulty happening to me?’, ‘how do I make sense of this?’, and ‘how can I get out of it?’ Today, we will examine a crisis faced by a king of Judah. Although he lived more than 2,700 years ago, the solution to his predicament applies equally well to us today. After King Solomon died in 930BC, the 12 tribes of Israel split into two nations with 10 tribes in the north called Israel, and 2 tribes in the south called Judah. While all were descendants from Jacob, the history of the two neighbouring kingdoms was far from harmonious. The Bible records that the kings of Israel were evil and the kings of Judah were a mixture of righteous and evil.
