Where Do Faith and Works Intersect? [Monday, #343]

A lot has been said about faith and works over the centuries as they relate to the Christian life.  We know that we are saved through faith – “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith —  and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9 NIV) Yet, works do have a part in our relationship with God – “So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.” (James 2:17 ESV) Let's explore this further in our audio devotional. It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.
