WHET NIE?! EP. 35 NIE WHET YOU DON’T DO?!?!

Let’s talk about something real for a second…Why do people get into relationships already leading with what they won’t do?Like… before anything even has a chance to grow, it’s ‘I’m not doing this,’ ‘I’m not going for that,’ ‘I’m not changing this.’ And then later on, you’re sitting there wondering why it didn’t work out.   It’s confusing to me.Because yeah! Boundaries matter! Standards matter! I’m not saying lose yourself for anybody. But at the same time… what are you actually bringing to the table besides a list of restrictions? A relationship is give and take. That doesn’t mean overextending yourself, but it does mean you have to be willing to show up. To try. To meet somebody halfway sometimes.   You can’t build something while standing ten steps back, guarding everything. And I think a lot of people don’t even realize it… they lead with protection instead of intention. You’re so focused on what you’re not about to do, that you never stop and ask yourself, what am I willing to do? How am I showing up when things get uncomfortable? Where am I willing to compromise, Not because I have to, but because I care? Because real connection? It takes effort. It takes being open in the right moments. It takes choosing the relationship, not just defending yourself in it.   And if you’re not willing to bend at all… then what are we really doing? You’re not building anything! you’re just keeping your distance with company. So maybe that’s the real question… Are you actually ready for a relationship… or are you just protecting yourself from one?
