Saint Nicholas of Myra in Lycia, who lived about seven hundred years ago, was a Christian bishop and a man of God who fasted and sacrificed his life for his flock. He was not fat, and was a fierce defender of Christianity. He even slapped a man in public! He willingly went to a dungeon prison for faith in Jesus Christ.
