Who’s buying your smallness?

Do you surround yourself with people who scare you or are you surrounding yourself with people who buy your smallness? A year ago, I was at a business class with about 20 high level entrepreneurs who had a revenue earning of a million dollars or more and I leaned over to the gentleman who was sitting next to me and said something so dumb. I told him a story about how women could not do or say a particular subject. Thinking about it now...it was a limiting story that I tried to get him to align and agree with. He didn’t buy my smallness and ignored what I had to say. It was such a learning lesson for me. I so got it. He was not going to buy my lies about what women can do or not do. That was my story. Not his. From this situation, I learned so much about the stories I was telling. I now catch myself much more often when I’m speaking and thinking stories that do not create more for my life.
