Why Being In a Hurry To Feel Good Doesn't Work
from Embrace It All! · host Angela Adams
It’s natural that we want to be in hurry, because we live in a society where we are we are constantly on the go, always in a hurry. We’ve become used to having things instantly. . We have become so used to this way of living that when we have to wait for something, it can be almost painful, right? Think about how you feel when your internet is running slow. Do you get as frustrated as I do? We have become so used to having what we want whenever we want it. And for some reason we think that we shouldn’t have to struggle with anything for any length of time. So when we are faced with a situation that we don’t like, one that causes us to struggle, it doesn’t feel good. And I would venture to say that most of us just want to feel good. And there is nothing wrong with wanting to feel good. However, being in a hurry to feel good doesn’t work for the long haul. In fact, being in a hurry only creates more of the negative emotion we want to get rid of. In this episode we will discuss how this happens, and what we can do about it. It might even suprise you that in order to feel better, you first have to slow down. I will teach why this is true and how you can actually get to a place of feeling good again.
