You know how you think you're a bad housekeeper? Well you aren't, you just have too much stuff to manage. This is one of the ways our clutter is loud and why it needs to shut up. Better yet, why you need to shut it up. The truth is that your clutter is stealing your time, energy, joy and life. And it doesn't care. You are the one suffering because of it! It might sound weird to talk about your clutter as if it were a person, but really. It needs to stop. What are you internalizing that is actually just your clutter talking? Do you tell yourself things like you need better organizational skills? That you need to be better with time management? Have you ever compared yourself to other moms, and your home to theirs? Did it make you feel less than? Have you been embarrassed by your home? Wondered what you're doing so wrong and make jokes that you're just a hot mess mom? Does it feel totally overwhelming to live in your home every day. and do you think maybe your just a failure at this adult stuff? If you answered yes to any of these, congratulations! You're free. None of these feelings have anything to do with you, and have everything to do with your clutter. It actually also has to do with the patriarchal society that has programmed us, but that's a conversation for another day. For now, we'll just address the clutter and I'll remind you that you are perfectly capable, competent and able as is. You can take ownership of the RIGHT things in your life. You do not have to tolerate feeling like any of the things above. In fact I think you should REJECT those feelings. And you should reject drowning in clutter. It's suffocating and it's bringing you down. Up until this point you've made a lot of decisions in life. You can decide now to let go of all the things that are holding you down, keeping you stuck, and worse, making you believe terrible thigns about yourself that just are not true. Feed the positive stories about yourself. Weed out the negative. If you want a step by step guide with a loving community cheering you on, join Decluttering Simplified today! We are ready for you!
