Why Do Good People Suffer? Gurumahan Explains | நல்ல மனிதர்கள் ஏன் துன்பம் அனுபவிக்கிறார்கள்? – 8th Velvi (1998)

from Santhosam Podcast: Guiding Light of Spiritual Wisdom · host Santhosam

Gurumahan in the 8th Velvi discourse, reminds us that hardship is not punishment, but carries a hidden grace to self awareness and inner purity. In each Velvi(Holy Penance), my purpose is to uplift and encourage all of you, to help you remove the unnecessary qualities within your heart and realize that you are pure and divine! God never created human beings as impure. Think about it!  Do we ever wish for our children to be born ignorant or weak? We want our children to grow with wisdom and strength, above all with love for us. We wish that they care for us and that the whole world praises them. Parents naturally think this way. Guru's intention goes even further. Not just the disciples, he wants all living beings in the world to live with love, compassion and grace. People already know that humanity is divine loving and compassionate, but they do not truly realize it within themselves. When things do not go as expected, people blame God. Children do the same. When a mother corrects her child for a small mistake, the child scolds the mother. In the same way, God creates situations to make His children realize Thier shortcomings.  If a person has no sense of fear or awareness, he will never walk on the right path. Therefore, at certain times,  people are made face small difficulties, which evokes fear of God leading one  to create inner awareness.Instead of seeing these difficulties as something big, one should pause and think. Why did God give me this trouble? People say God is form of love,  compassion.  and protection. If that is so, why did this happen to me? Even a little reflection towards Divine is enough. That reflection brings clarity. One realizes that this suffering came because of one’s own actions. If one had acted correctly, this pain would not have come. Then the person realizes that God created this difficult situation to make him realize the truth. God's love is true love! Your compassion is true compassion. Your grace is true grace. From now on, I will not allow unnecessary thoughts or actions in my life. In this way, the person awakens and understands himself!Send us Fan MailLet Wisdom Flourish!Let Peace Prevail! Let us protect Mother earth!Let us protect the Universe!
