In fact, on the Cross, God was punishing Himself in Jesus Christ to meet the demands of divine Justice for the penalty of death God imposed on Adam and Eve and their descendants. The Cross, therefore, is not only a place of shame, rejection, suffering, and death, but it is also where God demonstrated His love for humanity. While we may never fully comprehend the mystery of God’s love for humanity which drove Him to endure the death of the Cross, we by accepting it, and trading places with Him, position ourselves to benefit from that sacrifice. In the episodes in this Series, I will discuss what Jesus’s death on the Cross accomplished for humanity and how we may effectively benefit from it.Support the show
