Why does Jesus matter? The Gospels tell us what Jesus did. The rest of the New Testament tells us why it matters. Jesus didn’t just die on the cross—He died for you. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, went to the cross, and rose again so that His finished work could transform your life. This message walks through three key moments in Scripture that explain why Jesus matters: The Fall — the problem that became everyone’s problem (Genesis 2–3, Romans 5). The Law — the opportunity that became the revelation (Exodus 20, Joshua 24, Galatians 3). The Cross — the sufficient solution (Colossians 2, Romans 8, Hebrews 7, Ephesians 2). At the cross, Jesus satisfied the demands of the Law and dealt with the effects of sin once and for all. Salvation is by grace through faith—not by our own works—so that no one may boast. Faith is the key: when we believe, we receive. This is why Jesus matters.
