Why There Is Only One Prayer

Most people think the gospel is about fixing bad behavior. Romans 3 says the real problem is much deeper than that—and if you miss it, you miss everything. J. D. Walt breaks open Paul’s hardest-hitting diagnosis of sin and shows why the only honest prayer may be the simplest one: "Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner." What follows is not a self-improvement pep talk, but a wake-up call. John David walks line by line through Romans 3:9-18, then personalizes the text in a way that exposes the difference between little "s" sins and the capital "S" Sin that rules, ruins, and cannot be managed away. If you’ve ever thought Christianity was mostly about trying harder, behaving better, or cleaning up your image, this conversation will challenge that at the root. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Sing along with us! ► https://seedbed.com/hymnal/ - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Get the Wake-Up Call in your email each day ► https://seedbed.com/wakeupcall ⛪️ Are you a pastor?
