Why Would Anyone Vote Against Their Best Interests

from Transparent Conversations · host Calvin Pierce Jr

Stop Being a Sucker? There’s only been one time in my life that I can honestly say that I voted against my own interests. I was actually a registered Republican for a short time in my younger married days. I was actually a very observant Christian. The kind of Christian that didn’t listen to secular music, movies or television shows. So during that time I was against abortion, not that I didn’t believe that women should have control of their bodies or healthcare. The Church taught me abortion was wrong and I wanted to please God. So I actually voted for Republican candidates. I don’t remember who got my vote or did they deserve my vote. I just know they were pro-life and that’s all I need to know. This was during my first marriage. I was living in Virginia, and my career in I.T. was going well. We had bought our first house in Manassas and we were definitely middle class, living in that middle class bubble where you just worked a lot, took care of your family, went to church and kept your eye on your 401k.My Substack - Please do me a solid and Subscribe - It's Free!https://transparentconvos.substack.com/Transparent Conversations Youtube Channel - https://www.youtube.com/@cpiercejrMurdered  By IceKeith PorterRenee Nicole GoodGeraldo LucasAlex PrettiLooking for a way to join the conversation, and be a part of the Independent Media boom that's beating out Mainstream media in getting the Truth out!
