Why you don’t need a morning routine to be successful

I have never and will never have a morning routine. Your obsession with creating the perfect morning routine is probably holding you back, too. Should you wake up, meditate for an hour, write out affirmations, sip cacao, etc? Disclaimer: Here’s where I say if you have a routine that works for you, then great – but you don’t need one. Every single day is different, and business doesn’t revolve around your schedule. If you’ve tied success to a ritual that occurs between 6-8 am daily, what happens when you need to book a 7 am call? Travel for work? Or what happens when you use up the majority of your willpower just to get out of bed and journal at the same time? There are tons of 7 and 8-fig business owners that do things a little differently, or even do what’s not recommended first thing in the morning (check emails, social) – but the key to being successful is starting your day off in a way that will move the needle and open up creativity, not restrict it.
