Wildcat Chaos, Part One – Breaking Free from the Script

In this first part of our deep dive into High School Musical, we unpack the drama behind the drama. Is Troy Bolton really the hero, or actually the problem? We explore why Chad and Ryan were clearly meant to be, how the original characters lacked real depth, and how fanfic gave us the better ships we deserved.We also imagine how we’d rewrite HSM 1 & 2 including a version where Chad finds his own identity outside of being Troy’s sidekick and fully steps into his own spotlight.
