Wildfire Rages Toward Pine Forest Near León Town

Caboalles de Abajo, León – A wildfire is advancing toward pine forest areas as aerial crews concentrate water drops to stop its spread. Two aerial clips from the coordination helicopter HY01, dated August 13, 2026, show a large plume of smoke rising from the fire, with active flame fronts moving across forested hills close to the populated town. Houses and streets are clearly visible near the advancing fire. Wind-driven smoke can be seen in the footage, while thermal views show hot spots and the active fire edge in red and yellow against cooler blue surroundings. Strong wind gusts are making firefighting efforts more difficult. Weather conditions are improving during the night.
