We must be truthful enough to understand the motives behind our actions or inactions; otherwise, we're not truly honest. Fabricating lies to shield or benefit ourselves incurs a hefty karmic toll.We shouldn't seek to pardon ourselves for wrongdoing, nor should we attempt to excuse others. It's more beneficial to be honest with someone, point out their mistakes, and assist them in improving, rather than excusing them and allowing them to forget the lessons they need to learn — that consequences await them.
