Wisdom on Fair-Weather Sunk-Cost Stockhold Syndrome Lazy Advice Giving "Friends"

Another friendship ended. Preventable, but what can you do? Some people just don't deserve to be in my life, I guess. It’s crazy to me; all it takes is one thing, and a long-standing friendship can end in a blip. It's probably for the better, though... toxic friendships can rot your life slowly. Ironically, if I never met this person, I’d probably still be in Hong Kong right now with a progressing career. It’s wild how certain people can lead you astray subtly without you even realizing. Like the blame is on me for that part, but it’s still wild how it most likely never would have happened if not for these certain people coming and going out of your life. But then again, that can be said for many things. Even, say, the reason I had an interest in China could be argued due to people coming and going in life. So there’s a duality in that, I guess.
