In John 3, a wise man name Nicodemus went to see Jesus at night. Nicodemus was a pharisee or religious leader in Jesus' day. The religious leaders opposed Jesus, so Nicodemus went to see Jesus at night because he did not want to be seen.  Nicodemus had seen all the miracles that Jesus had performed, and he knew that Jesus must have come from God.  Nicodemus was a wise man.  Wise men still seek God.
