Welcome to The Castro Files. This week we have three stories to share that'll make you wonder what were people thinking. Thanks for tuning into the show this week. Story 1: The Legend of Eunice "Goody" Cole, an accused witch from Hampton, New Hampshire who was tried on multiple occasions for witchcraft in the mid-1600's. Obviously this was not a good time for women to be accused of being a witch. Interestingly enough she lived to be 90 years old. Story 2: The Bells Witch, a story of a family in the 1800's that was tormented by something... Was it a witch? This ghost story version of the Bell Witch tale, written by Nicole Garton, was originally published in The Tennessean on Oct. 22, 2001. We present it here for anyone looking to get spooked by a local legend. Story 3: Be careful what you wish for. If something seems to be too good to be true, maybe it is. This story should make you wonder about that really good deal you got on a new home, or an old antique piece you just couldn't let pass.
