Wits lecturer condemns US Maduro capture as selective aggression.

Venezuela's interim president Delcy Rodriguez has met with the country's cabinet of ministers following the abduction of Venezuela's deposed President Nicolas Maduro. Rodriguez has expressed willingness to work with the US. US president Donald Trump had earlier warned of serious consequences if Venezuela fails to cooperate. Trump threatened that the US is ready to carry out a second military strike on Venezuela if its government refuses to cooperate with his plan to 'resolve' the situation there. In a statement posted on social media, Rodriguez  said her government is prioritizing a move towards respectful relations with the United States, a change of tone after she had criticized the raid on Saturday as an illegal grab for the country's national resources. Meanwhile, Nicolas Maduro is set to appear in a New York court today. The US is accusing Maduro with drug trafficking and weapons offences  and  running a "narco-terrorist" regime.
