硼中子俘获疗法（BNCT）是一种精准放射疗法。其原理在于：先通过靶向硼药将硼元素特异性地聚集在癌细胞中，再以超热中子束进行照射。两者在细胞尺度内发生物理反应，产生短射程的杀伤粒子，从而实现对癌细胞的“定点清除”，同时最大程度保护周边正常组织。鹏博（海南）硼中子医院的落地，是乐城国际医疗旅游先行区“先行先试”政策的直接成果和生动实践。
