Für Kriegszwecke im letzten Weltkrieg wurden alle drei Wollbacher Glocken eingeschmolzen. Doch bereits im Heiligen Jahr 1950 fand ein neues Bronzetrio von Grüninger in Neu-Ulm den Weg ins Dorf am namengebenden Wollbach. Die kleinste Glocke mit 220 Kilogramm ist dem Kirchenpatron und Erzmärtyrer geweiht, sie trägt die Inschrift: "St. Stephan - Bitte für uns!"
