Woman falls victim to Morgan Wallen catfishing scam | Music City Minute

Occasionally, artists will post a warning about online scammers using their name and likeness for nefarious purposes. Unfortunately, a woman in Texas learned too late she was caught in one of these scams. Desiree was featured on a YouTube video for the channel "Catfished." She believed she was in an online relationship with country star Morgan Wallen. After being love bombed with very convincing chats and videos, Desiree was tasked with buying gift cards. Needless to say, she was scammed out of $18,000 before reaching out to "Catfished" for help. Please remember, do not trust an artist profile that DMs you asking for personal info or anything of monetary value.
