Women Making Waves with Tina Khan, Beck O’Mara & Gabbi Adams (Episode 22)

from Girls Gone Gravel podcast

This special episode features mini interviews from three women who are actively building their local cycling communities. Tina Khan, president of the NICA (National Interscholastic Cycling Association) League in Kansas, shares why it is important to get more kids on bikes. In partnership with Sunflower Outdoor & Bike Shop, she is helping raise funds to match a $100,000 grant aimed to get more kids riding bikes at www.kansasmtb.org. Beck O’Mara is the second guest on the show and is helping kids in her Atlanta, GA neighbourhood earn a bike and gain life skills by offering employment at local bike stores. Check out her initiative at www.bearingbikeshop.org. The last guest on the episode is Gabbi Adams, co-race director for Big Sugar and has completed the DKXL. Gabbi is an advocate for inclusion in cycling and has a passion to see more women on bikes. Kristi & Kathryn are off next week (riding gravel undoubtedly) and will be back with another great episode on September 22
