As we have entered 2026, we have seen crises on multiple fronts intensify across the globe. In the US, there have been eight ICE-related deaths since 1 January, Trump abducted Venezuela's leader, and continued his nationalistic programme to carve the world into rival blocs. The Epstein files have caused shockwaves across the world, but brought little justice to victims. In the UK, Reform and the far right remain on the march, and Labour hold no answers to oppose them. In this issue, we delve into these crises and stake our claim that the the workers' movement holds the power for solutions. We look at the Epstein files and the institutional betrayal which allowed wealthy men the world over to carry out, and cover up, heinous abuses. We continue to explore women's role in the far right and the institutional violence of immigration controls. We look to Iran and the fight for women's freedom renewed in recent struggles against the regime. We look at the harms caused by anti-trans rhetoric and last year's Supreme Court decision.
