The following talk was presented by Gregg Troy & Larry Shofe at the 1995 World Clinic in New Orleans. Gregg Troy was the Head Coach and Larry Shofe was the Senior Coach of the Bolles School Sharks in Jacksonville, Florida.  At the time of this talk, the Bolles School had produced 20+ Olympians, 22 Florida State Championship Teams, 3 National Prep Championship Teams, 7 Junior National Championship Teams, and winners of the overall combined 1995 USA Swimming National Championships.  This talk provides an overview of the qualities and characteristics of a successful assistant coach, as well as advice on how to evaluate a potential assistant coaching position.
