AboutMarie Slider Henriksen is a combat medic Army veteran who has experienced multiple traumas, addictions and disabilities. She recently published a poetry book called “More Me Than I Used to Be, A Journey to Freedom.” She writes about healing with faith, overcoming pain and resentments. Marie heals out loud through recovery advocacy, speaking and podcasting. She is a co-host on the podcast “Every Day's a Saturday; USMC Veteran, Coffee Talk with Bryan and Marie” encouraging veterans to heal out loud, from PTSD to advocacy.
