喜びは注ぐことから生まれる ・ Joy Is Found in Pouring Out 今週のHope Aliveでは、ピリピ人への手紙2章から学びました。そして一つの問いを考えました。喜びは間違ったもので自分を満たすことにあるのではなく、自分を注ぎ出すことにあるのではないでしょうか。私たちは生まれたその日から、誰かの犠牲によって支えられてきました。この箇所でパウロは、イエス、パウロ、テモテ、エパフロディトという四人の姿を通して、注ぎ出す生き方を示します。イエスはご自分を低くして十字架で命を与えてくださいました。パウロは困難の中でも喜びました。テモテは自分よりも人を大切にしました。エパフロディトは命がけで仕えました。状況ではなく、神の御心に生きることから喜びが生まれます。今週、誰かのために自分を注ぐ一つの具体的な行動を決めてみましょう。そこに本当の喜びがあります。 This week at Hope Alive we continued in Philippians 2 and asked a simple but challenging question: what if joy is not found in filling up with the wrong things, but in pouring out? From the very beginning of our lives, someone sacrificed for us. In this passage Paul points us to four examples of lives poured out for others: Jesus, Paul, Timothy, and Epaphroditus. Jesus humbled Himself and gave His life on the cross. Paul rejoiced even while facing death. Timothy put others first. Epaphroditus risked his life to serve. Their joy was not based on circumstances but on living for God’s purposes. We were reminded to work out our salvation, trust that God is at work in us, hold firmly to the word of life, stop complaining, and intentionally rejoice with others.
