The Little Mermaid: the Unnecessary Remake of Disney Princess Movies

第一期节目是我俩看完电影之后一些随意发散的吐槽与联想，是很轻松的聊天，收听愉快～ In this episode, we casually chatted about our feelings and associations after we had watched the Little Mermaid. 00:54 Unnecessary remake. Felt so awkward for the narcissism of human.03:36 Surprised by the first remake, disappointed by the second one.06:36 Cheered up by the Disney vibe and the cute animals.09:56 Intellectually disabled Flounder and illogically behaving Sebastian.12:58 The mood saving rap by Scuttle.15:13 Speaking of Lin-Manuel Miranda and Hamilton which also had black people play white characters.16:59 Emo prince Eric19:30 Where are the sarcastic lyrics toward objectification of women in Ursula’s song?20:38 So you can flirt by asking your date to guess your name through zodiac signs.22:29 One cannot go on adventures without the support and companionship of friends23:27 Halle Bailey is great in this movie for being so energetic and beautiful.26:15 Neither did the movie satisfie feminist expectations nor did it have a richly layered princess fairy tale ending.【BGM】均来自真人版《小美人鱼》电影OST Original soundtrack from the Little Mermaid:Under the Sea / The Scuttlebutt / Wild Uncharted Waters / Poor Unfortunate Souls / Kiss the Girl Follow us on social media @gonegirlspod
