עידו גפן גדל בחדרה ועשה שירות קרבי ביחידת יהל״ם ואחר כך במשרד הביטחון, שם נחשף לעולם הסייבר. אחרי תואר במדעי המחשב ועבודה כמנהל מוצר בכמה מחברות הסייבר המובילות בארץ, הוא החליט לעבור לצד היזמי והקים את נובי, חברת סייבר שמשתמשת בבינה מלאכותית כדי לבנות האקר וירטואלי שמבצע בדיקות חדירה ומאבטח ארגונים. תוך שנה וחצי מההקמה הם כבר גייסו מעל 50 מיליון דולר, בין היתר מאורן זאב, מקינן פרטנרס ומ-וויי אל ונצ'רס. עם כמה עשרות לקוחות משלמים וכחמישים עובדים בתל אביב ובניו יורק, היעד הבא שלהם הוא לתפוס שטח ולגדול בצורה אגרסיבית, כדי לנצח את התחרות ולהיות כמו שעידו אמר בפרק ״חברת הסייבר הגדולה ביותר בעולם.״
