You CAN feel better - Coping with Depression

from Meditation with Raphael · host Raphael Reiter

The book I mention, Transncendence: https://amzn.to/2y0PjYZ   The first thing we need to know when answering the question: How to cope with depression? is that we CAN feel better. we CAN be better. We can get out of this loop of helplessness and hopelessness and anxiety and anger and sadness and loneliness. Depression doesn't have to be part of your identity. In fact, in no way does your mental health define who you are as a person, as an individual, as a human being. Depression doesn't have to ruin your life! The most urgent thing we need to do is understand this too, shall pass. That there is a cure. There is a solution to fight against that sadness within you. Coping with depression does need a lot of effort, but it is worth it. Also, know that you are not alone. Did you know that almost half of us will suffer from depression at some point in our lives? When you find joy again, you will understand just how much it was indeed worth it. “Almost half of us will suffer from depression at some point in our lives, but the condition remains badly misunderstood and therefore often poorly treated. At the heart of our collective difficulty with depression is a confusion about what it actually is – and in particular, how it can be distinguished from a state all of us know very well and with which it is has a distracting number of similarities, namely sadness. It’s because we unwittingly tend to apply to cases of depression a number of assumptions drawn from, and better suited to, an understanding of sadness that we end up suffering far more than we should…”   100 Days Meditation For Transcendence Challenge (FREE Guided Meditations): https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLCzo5u_42Blk15fSKzefdThgQWj0SWjds If you would like to support this channel and be rewarded with awesome perks, please visit: https://www.patreon.com/raphaelreiter Join our FREE Facebook SUPPORT group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/623604674877689
