You deserve it!

We are not meant to do this on our own!So many times in my journey I have reached out for the support of others. Sometimes other healers, sometimes friends and family.But there were many times that I tried to do it all on my own. What I realize now is that this is part of a trauma response that was deeply engrained in me.There was a part of me that learned that I needed to support myself and so I did. I have to admit this made the journey much more difficult at times because trying to face the darkness in the dark was challenging.Too many people carry this wound and therefore do not feel safe reaching out to others. That means all too often people get stuck in cycles of self-judgement and abuse, then shame and guilt join in all of which only push them further within themselves.It takes a great amount of courage to reach out and ask for support or even accept what is being offered.As I have learned and am still learning that in order to heal all of me I need others to help and support me. I don't need to do it on my own.It still takes me to summon my courage and to talk myself into asking for support and accepting the Love that is being offered, but I know now that I deserve it! And I can truly say we are not meant to do this on our own, we never were.If you, like me are one of those 'independent types' I encourage you to look deeper.
