from "The Black Man Talking Emotions Podcast" Starring Dom L'Amour · host Dom L'Amour

Send a textMind blowing how the world can turn and turn and turn and the same emotions come back around. Almost identical. Have you ever felt let down. Like, last minute call offs. Long term relationships ended. People building bonds and trust and then just. Nothin. Just. Nothin. Over and over and over again I have to talk myself off a cliff and the worst part is, No one truly can make that up to you. that moment is past. Scratched off the calendar. Past! I'll always remember you letting me down. Even while I form my thoughts to put this speech together I find myself defending the person who let me down. "Dom, you are being dramatic!, thats harsh, get over it, you've let people down too, how dare you say this, you aren't qualified to speak on this."But this is my point. All of this energy, all of this second guessing. All of this inter-monologue is continued stress from this person letting you down.Yes they have an excuse. It may be good to you. Maybe a bad excuse, but my concern is how often do I wanna fell like I'm making the effort to repair the way I feel. Shouldn't  true friends, partners, homies, day ones, take the steps to help me understand that they are there for me. Should I consistently be the one who keeps our picture on the wall of friendship. My wife works with me, the other homies reach out and tell me sorry or I got you next time. my bad, I miss you , I believe in you. This is my Cycle.  Am I overthinking?Communication is the clear path to a victory lap of caught up moments in each others busy, crazy lifes, laughts, shared concerns, memories of day before. Love, tears, forgivenss. In your head, it always comes back to you.Its your choice if this moment is worth looking past. It is for me, but it sucks to go through this. the kicker about communication is interpretation. I want to help our relationship but t easily could push us away. This may be a small moment to others and huge to you. Even if I say that, It can be taken as an attack towards life choices, resposabilities, intensions, Do you care about us?Do you think about my feelings?Do you Care?I'm Sure you do.Breathe.Believe,ListenhearUnderstand.You let me down friend.Poem by.
