The IEC says as we commemorate Youth Month, it encourages the youth to become active citizens and participate in democratic processes. The Independent Electoral Commission says young citizens can engage in participatory democracy through various means, including assemblies, demonstrations, petitions, and through direct consultations and elections. Sakina Kamwendo spoke to the Assistant Manager: Civic and Democracy Education at the Independent Electoral Commission, Mmakgabo Ramathlodi.
