ZERO EFFECT- A negative impact on your progress associated with inconsistency. Without consistency and persistence, it is difficult to maintain your momentum toward your goals.The impact of the Zero Effect comes from the exponential growth factor that consistency provides. If I do something every day, the first day I’ll have some progress. If my starting point is at number 1, I’ll be at some number greater than 1 (I call it “X” in the example below), whatever variable it is that I’m working on. Day 2, you get the exponential improvement, with that number X increased to the power of 2. You still get that exponential benefit on days 3, 4, 5, 6, and more, as long as you keep working on that sub-goal every day. What happens to people is that somewhere along the line, they think that their inspiration and persistent attitude are enough to keep going— and eventually, they forget.
