Hey everybody, Pastor Jeff and Farrah Coleman here. Listen, I want you to turn your Bibles today, have something very interesting we want to go over with you. It's going to be amazing, it's going to be powerful, it's going to be life changing for your life. In Second Kings 4, there was a woman, a certain woman.
And the Bible said that in chapter number four, verse number one, it says, there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets of Elisha saying, Thy servant, my husband is dead. And you know that thy servant did fear the Lord. And the creditor is come unto him, my two sons to be bondmen. And Elisha said unto her, What shall I do for you?
Tell me, what have you in your house? Every time I read that, I reminded how much we overlooked, what we currently have. It was amazing, this story, it just pulls and tugs at my heart, Pastor Farrah, about the power of the overlooked. Sometimes we don't feel worthy, we don't even realize the potential of what we have.
And this woman, the way she looked at it, she said it like this, she said, All I've got is this little pot of oil. What is it that you say, little is much when God is in it. That's right, little is much if God is in it. So you don't remember today, don't overlook what God's already given you.
The cool thing about this story was, you know, he turned her back, she was always looking for God to do something else in her life or the man of God to come and do something else in her life. But really he turned her attention back to what she possessed. He don't overlook what she possessed. Unworthiness, you know, we talk about this a lot in the church and on a program even we talk a lot about the fact that sometimes we overlook, we have hidden potential.
Locked up in us, powerful things God has, locked away in our lives to use for his glory. But we overlook it, why? Because we feel unworthy. Don't overlook what God has given you.
Don't overlook the gift that God has given you. Another thing you've got to remember too, you have the ability to increase. This woman, she had to go borrow vessels to make room for what God has. That's right.
You know right now some of your home today, you need to make a decision that you want more of God and you need to increase your capacity to receive. If you don't open up your heart to receive, if you don't make room for increase, you're going to miss what God has for you next. She had to go borrow. That speaks a lot about relationship.
I'll tell you Pastor Fair relationship is an amazing thing. You've got to have relationship and it is key that you unlock your next through building those relationships. Tell us something Pastor Fair, tell us about what you think about increasing about building relationships. Sometimes we've got to be willing to tear down those walls.
We've got to be willing to open up our lives. Well, I know that we've had this discussion before and you've talked about it in church about the vessels back in those days, they were handmade. That's right. They were passed down from generation to generation.
The family's held on to those. They valued those vessels. It meant something. It meant something to you.
So for somebody to come to your house and that you don't even know and say, I need your vessel, they're not just going to give it up. They have to know you. They have to trust you. They have to believe that when you tell them they just need to borrow it, that they're going to bring it back.
What a word. And that requires relationship. Relationship. Yes.
Well, you know the Bible talks a lot about relationship. It talks a lot about covenant, about partnership, about friendship. Bible says even first John, it talks about how can you say you love God, whom you've not seen and you hate your brother, who you have seen. He even says, look, we got to be willing to forgive if we can't forgive, we won't be forgiven.
That's a powerful, powerful thing. So listen, your next, your increase, your ability for more could be tied up in your connection, not just to God, but your connection to people. That's right. Luke says it like this.
Luke says, give and it shall be given. Good measure. Press down, shaken together and running over shall men give unto your bosom. We have to be willing to build relationship.
Amen? Amen. We have to be willing to recognize what we currently have. If you overlook everything God's doing in your life, you can't recognize the potential.
Some of you, God, God wants you to know today, hear me. God wants you to know today you are worthy. You are worthy. That little part, it didn't look like much to her.
She didn't think what she had was worthy. She didn't think what she had was worth using. She didn't think what she had could answer her problem. But I'll tell you what, if you'll start celebrating, come on.
If you'll celebrate what you have right now, if you'll start seeing the value and you'll become thankful, we've got to be thankful for what God is currently doing in our life. We have to be willing to smile even though it may look like it's dreary, it looks like things are going down, it looks like you're not going to make it through. That's the time to evaluate. That's right.
That's the time to set back. Stop what you're doing and say, you know what? What do I have? I like to say it like this, Pastor Fair.
I like to say this all the time. I like to say, I like to say, look, you've got to be willing to step back and see what you have left. You can't keep talking about the problem. You have to sometime or another, you've got to turn your attention back to the provider.
That's right. You've got to talk more about your Savior than you do your problem. And you've got to be willing to focus not only on the container, but the content of the container. It's not just the container itself, it's not just this flesh.
It's what God puts in it. That oil represented something very powerful. That oil represented the Spirit, the Holy Spirit, the oil, the anointing, the refreshing, the power of God. That was evident inside of that container.
That oil was important. So you've got to remember that God has put something in you as a plan for your life. He has a plan for your life. He has one for you too.
He's got goals. He's got plans. He said before I formed you. I knew you.
I knew you. Well, I tell you, that's something the rest in right there. That is a powerful thought. We have in 2 Corinthians chapter number 4, and I want you to speak into this verse.
I'm going to read the scripture, speak into it just a little bit of this verse. 2 Corinthians 4, 7, the Bible says, we have this treasure in earthen vessels that the excellency of the power may be of God and not of us. We've got something locked up in us, Pastor Pharaoh. The power of the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit and his abundance.
He told his disciples, he said, you must go terry and wait. Wait for it. Wait for the promise. That's right.
The Holy Spirit. We need the Holy Spirit in there right now. Absolutely. We've got to have that.
Yes. And also, Ephesians 3, 20 said, now unto him that is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think according to the power that works in us. God's made it deposit in your life. God has deposited his spirit, his power, his authority.
He is deposited in your life. He's made an investment. Not only did he die for you, come on. Not only did he climb up on that cross, gave his life willingly, stressed his arms wide, hung there and gave up the ghost and said, yes, I will give my life on behalf of them.
Not only that, but he made a tag team handoff to the Holy Spirit. They met in the air and the Holy Spirit landed down on the day of Pentecost, went in that upper room and 120 people were waiting there for the deposit, waiting there for the promise. Not just in a thing. Come on.
In the person and the power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is tangible. Come on. He's a person.
He's a kind of somebody, and he is the power of God that works in us. Come on, both the will and the do of his good purpose and his good pleasure. The power of the Holy Ghost, listen, is right now resident in you and what I'm trying to get in your spirit today that deposit of the Spirit can shift your life. You can grow in the spirit.
You can grow in the power and the anointing, and the refreshing. Listen, you can have everything you need. You got to remember this. God has more resources, more ability and more power than you even have room for.
That's right. Jesus, the Spirit, without measure, without measure. Jesus walked into power of the Spirit, without measure. You got to understand that the power of the Holy Spirit, you can get more.
You can get increased. This woman, now this is good. This is good. This is good.
This part's good. You guys are going to love this. You guys are going to love this. She had to go into a room.
She had to close the door. Come on. She had to silence all those voices. She had to walk into that room.
She had to take her signs and take those vessels and she had to begin to pour out. She had to begin to pour out. Now, one thing about God, God don't want to waste what He has on you. The only, the demand for more is your willingness to pour out.
He can't keep pouring into something that you've not let out. You have to open yourself up and you have to pour yourself out and you have to open your heart up. That's what it requires. And when you do that, he pours more into you.
That's it. That's how you get more. Give and it shall be given. So the same works with the gifts, the same works with the ability and the power of God.
You got to be willing to give away. Come on. You got to be willing to share what God has given you. Supply, supply flows into demand.
You better write this down. Supply flows into demand. Where there's a demand place on something, supply, you've heard supply and demand. Everybody sort of supply and demand.
The same thing works in the kingdom. You have to be willing. Listen, supply flows into demand. Field vessels, listen, were set aside.
Now, the cool thing about this, she went into the story. She went into the story in debt. She was distressed. She was in trouble.
She was about to lose her children. She was about to lose everything she had. Bad situation. Bad situation.
Some of you are sitting at home right now and you're thinking, man, I'm in a bad situation. But what I'm trying to get you to see is God has something right now in your life. Currently, come on in your house right now that you can use to bring you out of this. You say, what are you talking about?
Listen, God's give you something. He's giving you something. I tell people all the time and I mean this from my bottom of my heart. I'm not trying to belittle your problem or make your problem feel like it's not anything.
I'm not trying to do that at all. I'm trying to get you to understand if you would go. If you'll go take a shower. Come on.
Get up. Get up. Go take a shower. Brush your teeth.
Come your hair. Come on. Put on your clothes. Come on.
You're already in one of the wealthiest nations. You don't know my situation. I'm in poverty. Yeah, but listen, even your poverty compared to real poverty, you have plenty.
If you had a pillow to lay your head on last night, if you had a roof to cover your head last night, if you had food in the fridge, at least one pair of shoes, you are in the top 70 to 80% of all the world of wealthy people. So what I'm trying to get you to understand, if you just comb your hair brush your teeth, take a shower, go out and hit the street. You'll find somebody who has a need greater than what you did. And once you begin to pour out, once you begin to show love, once you begin to share peace, once you begin to share joy, wouldn't this world be amazing?
If we all would just start giving what we have, giving away our joy, giving away our peace, giving away that we got to be willing to sow more comes by more comes from the Lord when we're willing to pour out. She saved her house and she got out of debt. Now, we're gonna this we're collapsing on time here. Time's closing on this, but I want to get this in your spirit.
I want you to hear this. Stop talking about what you've lost and tell me what you have left. Stop talking to me about what you've lost and start talking to me about what you have left. Man, I tell you, it's a great place to start when you start being thankful, when you start recognizing what God's still giving you.
Listen, you may have lost some things and I understand that, but I encourage you today, reevaluate your situation. You're still breathing air. You still have opportunity. There's time for you to repent.
There's time for you to turn. There's time for you to increase, but you got to be willing to watch start building relationships. Come on, get out, get out somewhere today and build a relationship. Go borrow a vessel.
I passed the fair said those vessels were important. They were passed down from generation to generation. They had to work. You had to work to make a vessel.
You just didn't get on Amazon and order a vessel. You didn't just go down to Walmart and buy a vessel. You actually had to work with your hands and form up a vessel. It took effort.
It took time and those things were precious. So listen, God's deposited something in your life that's precious. Be willing to give that to someone. Be willing to share that with someone.
There's something in you that can set you and your family free. Yes, Lord. Thank you Jesus. What you currently are doing here this.
This is a word for some of my feeling my spirit. What you are currently building. What you are building right now. What you're currently doing can save your children.
If you don't believe me just ask Noah. Come on. Just what he worked on. What he built.
What he labored over. What he done. His resource. Everything he did.
Everything he did. What's preparing something for his children. You can do something today to make your children's life better. You can do something today to make your life better.
You can do something in your life today for somebody else to make your community better. Your city better. Come on, your church better. Come on, your family better.
You can do something today to change that situation inventory. We're closing inventory. What's in your house? Everything.
Everything. Come on. Inventory. Everything you've got step back and say, you know what?
Let me reevaluate. Let me see what I have. See the value of what you have. Don't overlook your old.
Amen. Don't overlook your old. It may be little. You may not have much, but don't overlook it.
Don't overlook it. Make connections. What I mean by that? Be willing to borrow vessels.
Make connections. If you want to if you want to get better, start surrounding yourself with people who are doing better. Come on. If you want to run with turkeys, you're going to be a turkey.
If you want to soar with eagles, you're going to have to be willing to get in room full of eagles. You can't keep setting on the couch eating Cheetos. Come on, somebody and wearing them stretchy pants and things like they are you got to be willing to get up and do something different. You got to be willing to make connections.
Shut the door. No distractions. Shut the door to every distraction. You've got to get funnel vision.
I said that when I preach this message, I said you got to get funnel vision. What are you talking about? Listen, she poured that on. She focused her all into a funnel.
You got to be willing to funnel your vision, not tunnel vision, funnel vision. Come on, somebody, you got to be willing. Pour out when that field look for next. Now, that's big.
I'm I'm wrapping it up. We're wrapping it up. We're so thankful for you to watch today. But listen, some of you need to get this in your spirit.
When you lose out on places to pour, you have to be willing to look for the next vessel, the next place to pour. Somebody may have shut you out of your life. You may have been hurt. You may have been discouraged.
You may have lost somebody that place where you used to pour the place where you used to go. You may have lost those things. But look, what you got to be willing to do is look, you poured all you could into this vessel. Now you got to be willing to look for the next vessel.
Don't allow your last season to keep you from your next season. Come on. Come on. God's called you to increase and multiply.
We're believing great things for you in 2020. 2020 is going to be a great year for you. We're believing for miracles. We're believing for overflow.
We're believing God for increase for your family. But listen, in order to see that come to pass, you're going to have to increase your ability. Come on to receive your capacity to receive. She had one vessel, one little bit of oil, but she had to increase her capacity to receive.
I said this one time, many years ago, and I'm going to say it's right now. I can't stop myself. If they would have hooked that pipeline, that Alaskan pipeline, if it would have been hooked into that woman's part of oil, and she had it turned up like this in her hand today, if that was possible, that oil would still be running. Why?
Because her capacity to receive was based upon what she was pouring into. The Bible says that when the oil stops, when the oil stops pouring, she runs out of space. That's right. When she runs out of vessels, the oil stays.
So when you run out of places to pour, when the oil stops, that's right. So it stopped when you run out of places to pour. We encourage you today. Come on.
Brush your teeth comb your hair. Get up. Get off that couch. Make some connections.
Find some places to pour. Guys, come on. Things are going to be better for you. It's going to be a great year.
We appreciate you watching today. God's got a plan for your life. Got a plan for you. God bless you.
