Hey guys, good to see everybody. Good to see everybody back here again in the studio. Man, God is moving. He's doing some amazing things.

We're so blessed and so honored to have you with us today. We believe this is a great teaching. We believe this is going to help you. We believe this will help you move forward.

You know God's fair. Absolutely. Did you know God is just? He is fair and he's just.

God didn't, you know, he actually loves us. He actually creates us. He actually gives us all what we need to start out with to get closer to him. You know what that is?

It's fate. Romans 12, 3, the Bible says, according as God hath dealt to every man, the measure of faith. I'm a man. I'm pretty competitive.

It used to be a lot more competitive. I'm quite a bit older now. We won't talk about how old but quite a bit older now. But very competitive.

And one thing that I found is that the more I exercise, the stronger I got. The more that I ran, the better I got at it. The more that I swam, the better I got at it. The more that I have ever done.

The more you do so, the more you exercise, the stronger you get. That's fair. She's got a muscle in her arm. I've got a muscle in my arm.

I've got, now that I'm getting older, I've got these bat wings coming under my arm. And that's from a lack of exercise. Some of you may know what I'm talking about. But if you will just get in the gym and you'll strengthen and you'll grow, as you begin to exercise, you begin to get stronger.

And the same way it works with your physical life, it works with your spiritual life. And if you will, strengthen. And you'll begin to increase your faith. It can grow.

Absolutely. It can grow. He gives everybody the measure of faith. It's like Roman says.

You're our responsibility to grow our faith. That's why you look at some people and you think, man, what great faith they have. Why can't I have that kind of faith? But you can.

But you don't know what they've went through to get to that point for that faith in their life. They've exercised it. They've got in the world. They prayed.

They spent time with God. They exercised. If you don't go to the gym, you'll never get any stronger. We had a gym membership for several years and we just started going back.

I used to make a joke with my son. I would say I drove by today and we hit the gym. He's like, oh, that's great. I jumped out of the car, punched the punch of the wall, got back in the car and drove off.

It doesn't seem to be helping me at all, but I hit the gym. You've got to understand, if you don't get in the Word of God, if you don't study, if you don't pray, if you don't go to church, you don't get stronger. You just get weaker. I think it was F.F.

Bosworth. I've got a quote by him here somewhere. If I could find it, maybe you can help me, I don't know exactly where it is. But he said this.

He said something along the lines of if we only ate, most Christians eat three good meals a day. But if you only ate one meal a week of the Word of God, you would become weaker. You do. We feed ourselves physically, but we don't feed ourselves spiritually.

We've got to be willing to feed ourselves spiritually because that's how we're going to grow. So today, we want to give you some points on how to grow your faith. Your faith can get stronger. Your faith can grow.

How are we going to do that? That's the question. I know last night we were online doing the reach and one of the ladies that commented, her comment was through diligence, through diligence and... I can't remember.

Desire and diligence. I don't remember. It's totally left me. That was not what I thought it was going to be.

You have to be willing to stay the course. Discipline. Discipline. You have to be disciplined.

You have to be disciplined. You have to be diligent. You have to have discipline. I like that answer because that's exactly what it takes.

That's what it takes. That's what it takes. Number one, how are we going to grow our faith? Besides diligence and discipline and staying consistent, how are we going to do it?

First of all, we're going to grow through hearing the Word of God. In Romans 10, 17, the Bible says, so then faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. You've got to get in that Bible. You've got to get in that book.

It doesn't come by osmosis. And it's not the Word that I know that will save you. It's the Word that you know that will save you. And if you don't get in that Word, if you don't get in there and study and show yourself approved, if you don't open up that Bible, you say, well pastor, I just don't understand.

Look, faith comes by hearing. You know what, sometimes I hear people say, I can't read. Well, I didn't say you had to read it. I said it comes by hearing.

You can hear a lot of ways. There's a lot of ways you can hear. You can get DVDs. You can get audio.

I mean, we have access to the Word of God in a lot of different ways. There's Bible apps. There's Bible apps. I've got one on my phone.

I never use it. You can go into it every day, a daily Bible thing. And you can actually read the Bible too. And if you will just allow that to read to you and you start hearing that Word, it's the engrafted Word that's able to keep you and able to save you.

I encourage you today, if you haven't set aside time to hear God and to hear the Word of God, that's where your faith can work. I'm telling you right now, the quickest way to grow is to get in the Word of God. Number two, you have to believe the Word of God. If you don't just help you enough just to read it, you actually have to believe it.

It's one thing just to hear the Word. It's another thing to believe the Word. You have to. Romans 10, 9 through 10, say, if you shall confess with your mouth, the Lord Jesus and shall walk.

Believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead. You shall be saved. It's not enough just to hear the Word. You actually have to believe the Word.

You have to believe it. You say, well, Pastor, how do I get it to work? Look, faith is all right. You're not trying to get faith.

See, this is one thing you've got to understand right now. God dealt every man to measure a faith. God has already given you faith. It's the God kind of faith because it came from God.

It's God's faith. So you're not trying to get faith. You have faith. And what God has given you has the potential to grow, to increase, to get stronger.

But you have to be willing to exercise it. You have to be willing to believe it. He said, I am the Lord who heals you. When sickness comes your way, you have to start declaring.

And I believe the Lord said that I'm healed. So how do I, my faith grows by me believing what his Word says? It's not enough just to hear it. You have to exercise it.

How do we exercise it? By confessing it. You know you're not even saved until you confess it. He said if you believe in your heart and what?

Confessive your mouth. One way to start operating in belief is by confessing. By confessing. By his wounds you are healed.

Jesus healed all the sick among them. If God's Word says it, the matter is settled. It's time. I'm going to believe it.

That's right. We've got to believe the Word. We've got to hear the Word. The next thing, the next thing we're going to do is we're going to grow through believing the Word, hearing the Word.

Not only that, but we're going to act on the Word. Faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. James chapter number two, verse number 17 through 18, he said, show me your faith without your works and I will show you my faith by my works. It's one thing to hear it.

It's another thing to say I've heard it and I believe it. But it's something totally different after you've heard it and believed it to act upon it. There has to be corresponding action to what you say you believe. Faith is an action.

It's a verb. It's a verb. It's moving. It's acting.

Consistently. We've had a lot of decisions in the body of Christ without convergence. There's one thing to say to your Christian. It's another thing to have actions that correspond with the words are your belief system.

If you're saying something, we should have corresponding actions. That's it. Come on somebody. You should look like a Christian, act like a Christian.

If I'm coming up to an orange tree and I'm looking for oranges, I shouldn't be finding apples. It's an orange tree. If it's an orange tree, it's producing apples. There may be a problem with the root.

That's a good word. There could be a problem there. When you know that you know God has healed you and set you free because he's loving God, it's time to act on it. Wake up in the morning and thank God for your healing.

When you know God has blessed you, wake up in the morning and say, God, I thank you for the blessing. When you know God has great plans for you, wake up and say, you know what, I thank you. Thank you for the plans you have to make good plans, great plans, wonderful plans. Don't let your feelings stop you from acting on the Word of God.

If you're hurting, I say, man, I just don't feel like it. I love what Smith Wigglesworth said. Somebody came up to him one time and said, you know, how Smith Wigglesworth feeling today? And he replied, I don't know.

I haven't checked with him to see how he's doing. I check with the Word of God to see how Smith Wigglesworth is doing. We should do that ourselves. You get into the Word of God.

See what the Word of God says about us. And then we have to listen. We have to trust. Come on now.

We have to trust. And trust requires relationship. That's right. Trust requires.

You don't know him. You can't trust him. I asked this question before I'll ask it again today. Do you trust God?

Do you personally trust him enough to have confidence in him enough to believe what he said is true? That he's got your back and he won't let anything happen to you. Nobody can separate you from his love. Sometimes God doesn't give us mountains to climb for our learning and growth.

Instead, we can stand as a witness for him. Sometimes when you're going through something, you've got to understand those people watching you. You've got to trust God in your situation. I'm going to ask you again.

Do you trust God? Do you know God enough to know that he isn't out to make you miserable, but won't your happiness more than anything? Do you trust God? In Joshua chapter number one, verse number five, the Bible says this.

He was saying to Joshua, there shall not any man be able to stand before you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not fail you nor forsake you. God is going to see you through every situation.

He's going to go with you, but you have to be willing to say, I trust you. Faith is trust. We're talking about developing faith. So you know you trust God and you have faith in God when you find yourself in a situation and you say, you know what?

I'm not going to be moved by my situation. I'm not going to let the storms of life, the struggles and the trials to move me. I'm going to stay in faith. I'm not going to allow 2021 and what's going on in the world around me.

I'm not going to allow the situations to crump them up. I'm going to stay in faith. Come on. That's a word for someone.

Stay in faith. That's it. Trust God. You need to be able to pass.

The next thing you need to do, you need to be spiritually fed. If you want to feel close to God and begin thinking like He does, then you need to take time to spiritually feed yourself. Yes, you should. Absolutely.

We do all kinds of stuff. We work. Some of us work 40, 50, 60 hours a week. We work.

Some of us have sports and routines and the hobbies that we do. Some of us scroll on Facebook and Instagram. We spend time doing all kinds of things. But none of those things unless we tap into a spiritual resource are feeding us.

I encourage you today to start taking time. Yes. To spend. With Him.

Feeding yourself spiritually. Amen. Find a teacher. Find a pastor.

Find a church. Right. Find a Bible that you can read. Right.

Listen to someone that's helping you, guiding you and leading you. Take time in your life today to spiritually feed yourself. That's it. If you're going to eat three meals a day for your physical body, what are you going to do?

If we put it up on the screen right now, with your name, your address, your phone number and your social security number, last week, how much time you actually spend feeding yourself spiritually, what would you open the screen? How much time? Well, they got a tracker on your Facebook now. Tell you how many hours you spent on Facebook.

I don't have to ever see you. Tell you how many hours you spent all week or all day. If we were tracking your time spent with God right now, how much time have you spent feeding yourself spiritually? Great question.

Great question. It's a growth question. Some of you right now go, you know what pastor is right? I've not been feeding myself.

I'm really not feeding myself. I am feeding myself, but it's not spiritual. It's not spiritual. It's Netflix.

Yes. It's all the toxic things, all the wrong things. MSNBC. All those things are that seem to guide and direct your life.

That's it. Here's the next thing you guys need to do. Listen to me. This is powerful.

We talked this last week. Keep a gratitude journal. Oh, yeah. That's it.

Keep a gratitude journal. Absolutely. It's some of the hardest times of your life. Sometimes when you think, now I don't know how I'm going to get through.

If you could sit down and get your composure long enough to flip open a journal and say, you know what? God did this for me? God did this for me? God did this for me?

We hearse the victory. We hearse. We love. We love.

Misery loves coming. It seems like we like to rehearse our defeats. We live from glory to glory. From faith to faith.

From victory to victory. He don't want you to. The mountains. The only reason God ever brought you into a valley.

The only reason God ever placed you in a valley was so that you could defeat that goliath. And we're going to rehearse that defeat of that. We're not going to talk about the valley. We're not going to talk about the problem.

All we're going to rejoice over is God brought me out of that valley. The only reason I went in to that valley was to whip that giant. Come on, everybody. You've got to start writing down all the great things that God has done for you.

And when the enemy comes at you, you're going to slip over that journal and say, look, look, read right here, devil. He did this for me on this date. God moved from my family. We prayed for healing and God healed my cousin.

I asked him to help me with a car. He brought me a car. I asked him to help me with a job. He gave me a job.

If God got you through that, he's going to get you through what you're currently facing. But you've got to start thanking him. Listen, a journal of gratitude. The Bible says that we enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise.

Your thanksgiving unlocks a whole court full of stuff, the courts of praise. God's trying to get you through the gateway of thanksgiving to expose you to next. Stubborn and disgruntled people would shout nothing and hide under blankets, hiding and trying to get away from situations. When we get disgruntled, we try to cover up our heads.

We try to get along. We try to get to this place where we can't find anybody else. We just want to get along and separate. But I'm telling you what, thankful people rejoice.

They come out of those bedrooms of depression. They come out from under those covers. They come out from those corner places. And they say, you know what?

God brought me through this. I'm going to get through this. It's going to be a better day. Today may have been a tough day, but I've had tough days before.

And God brought me through those tough days too. And I'm going to rejoice because I'm entering into the greatest years of my life. Come on somebody. We got to pray.

We got to read the Bible. We got to spend time with God. We got to act on it. We got to act on it.

That's it. Feed spiritually. We got to act on the Word. Read the Word.

We got to pray. Come on somebody. And we got to be thankful. It's a four-letter word.

W-R-K. Listen, just like we've been saying, on here and at our church, if you don't invest in something you're not going to get a return. You're not going to get a return. It's not just going to fall in your lap.

You actually have to invest time. That's it. You have to invest your talent. Your talent.

Your tithe. Your time. Everything. Everything.

All of your life. What you put into it. That's it. Absolutely.

We want to remind you guys that are watching right now, one thing that you need to understand about the Lord, because you'll imagine being in a relationship with someone and every time you went to that person, you just had a request instead of a thanksfulness heart. Yeah. Thanksgiving in your heart. You know what you know eventually happened.

Yeah, eventually. I'm not God. I know how God is. He's long enough suffering.

He has love. But look, I know God, He's seeking worshipers. The Bible teaches us that the Father seeketh such to worship Him. God's looking for thanks.

Thanksgiving, He's looking for worshipers. He's looking for people to pour out His grace, His mercy, and His love upon Him. I encourage you today, Pastor Farron, I want to pray for you.
